Individuals or small groups may sign up for ongoing volunteer assignments with our Food Pantry, Clothes Closet, Computer Lab, CareerWorks job development program, GED classes in both English and Spanish, ESL (English as a Second Language) classes, or Camp CLIMB (Changing Lives, Improving Minds and Bodies) – our children’s summer enrichment program. Hours are listed below:
Food Pantry: M-TH 9:00-11:30 a.m. + the first Saturday of each month 9:00-11:00 a.m.
Camp CLIMB: M-F 9:00 a.m.-3:00 p.m. Two sessions, June 9th – July 3rd and July 7th – August 3rd. Come as often as you can!
Adult Education Services: Classes have multiple sessions and sites. Please call for specific times and days.
CareerWorks: M-F 9:30-12:30 with a flexible schedule. Come for the components that interest you…career plan, shopping for clothes, resume and cover letter writing, job search, mock interviews, etc.
English as a Second Language (ESL) Classes: Personal coaches are needed M-Th 9:30 a.m.-12:00 p.m.
GED: Personal trainers are needed M-Th 1:00 p.m.-3:00 p.m.
Computer Lab: Coaches are needed M-Th 1:00 p.m.-3:00 p.m.
Back-to-School Shoe Drive: Sunday and Monday, August 10th and 11th from 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Shifts are 1-1/2 hours long, unless you’re having too much fun to leave!
Back-to-School Rally: Friday, August 15th from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.; set-up from 9:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m. and 12:00 p.m.-3:00 p.m.; help run the event from 4:00 p.m.-7:00 p.m.; clean-up from 7:00 p.m.-8:30 p.m.
Additionally, you may choose to lend office support, or work on an event. Office Support: On call or by appointment.
